Chevrolet presented at the SEMA racing car COPO Camaro

Chevrolet introduced a limited edition sports car COPO Camaro at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.
Among Chevrolet supercars prepared for SEMA there is a version COPO Camaro. This is the fourth generation of a limited series of racing cars created by the company. There will be made only 69 copies of a sports car for the ring racing series. Cars will participate in the 2015 national championship season NHRA.

“COPO Camaro will allow athletes to participate in classes in NHRA Stock Eliminator and Super Stock», – commented Jim Campbell, vice president of the American division of sports cars and motor sports group GM. “Each victory will be an important contribution to the 45-year history of the race and strengthen the position of the Chevrolet brand as a manufacturer of sports cars.”

2015 COPO Camaro presented at the exhibition SEMA. The novelty is equipped with 2.9-liter V8 with mechanical supercharger Whipple. Each car COPO Camaro is hand made with factory electronic “firmware” on the basis of the usual series coupe. Inside is installed NHRA homologated safety cage and other safety equipment. Coupe is equipped with racing chassis and suspension, including the unique rigid beam rear axle, independent suspension replaced the serial Camaro.
