A couple of prototypes of Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 of 2018 model year were spotted near the town Tazewell, Virginia, on the famous road “Tail of the dragon.” This is the section of the road, where the engineers and test drivers often test different vehicle systems. The only difference between the machines, it is only the presence of the rear wing on one of them.

In all other respects, the cars do not differ from each other; both prototypes are hiding under the camouflage aggressive body kit with side aerodynamic air dividers on front bumpers, as well as downforce-generating canards.

While the Camaro ZL1 2017 borrowed from the Corvette Z06 6,2-liter 8-cylinder engine LT4, the sixth generation of the Camaro Z/28, according to rumors, can get naturally-aspirated 7.0-liter 8-cylinder power unit. Rumors also point to the fact that the new GM engine can get the name of the L88. In order to overtake the Mustang Shelby GT350, the engine will have to develop at least 550 hp. Regardless of power plant; Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 of 2018 model year should be released on the market this year.
