Chevrolet Colorado pick-up designed for sailboards

Chevrolet American Company unveiled their new pickup concept. The Colorado Z71 Hurley was presented at the 2016 SEMA Tuning Show. The name of the novelty let us suggest that the car was modified in collaboration with Hurley studio, which is the manufacturer of accessories for surfer sport.

Chevrolet Colorado Z71 Hurley is equipped by 3.6-liter diesel V6 motor, developing 312 horsepower. The same unit will be proposed for the 2017production model. The engine has a variable valve system and cylinder deactivation. The engine will be mated to an 8-band automatic transmission. As for the exterior view, the concept has modified front and rear bumpers, special boards, 17-inch alloy wheels covered by Goodyear DuraTrac tires.

Creating the new modification, the workers followed the aim to develop a car that will be supplied by practical functions for the athletes. Thus, the concept car includes the seat covered by water-repellent cloth. Another special solution is a surfboards fix and Thule stack with some compartments for wetsuits drying. The pick-up is also provided by Wi-Fi, so it makes possible to share photos and videos, as well as to keep up of current weather conditions.
